Adele Antcliff (MSc., BSc (Hons), MCIEEM)

Adele has over 10 years’ experience working for large environmental consultancies. This has involved working on numerous projects from small scale residential developments to large scale pipeline and wind farm developments. Adele regularly carries out Extended Phase 1 Habitat Surveys and is also experienced in National Vegetation Classification (NVC) surveys of grassland, woodland and wetland habitats.

Adele specialises in European Protected Species (EPS) primarily bats and great crested newts. She is capable of designing mitigation strategies and preparing licence applications for these species and also has experience of badger and water vole conservation license applications.

Adele is a Suitably Qualified Ecologist under BREEAM and can prepare ecological BREEAM reports, highlighting credits achieved and offering advice on how to achieve further credits.

 

Rachel Blackham (MSc., BSc (Hons), MCIEEM)

Rachel has a MSc in Wildlife Biology and Conservation and has 10+ years’ experience working for a global multi-disciplinary environmental consultancy as an ecologist and project manager. She holds survey licences for great crested newt and white-clawed crayfish.

Rachel has a particular interest in ornithology and specialises in breeding and overwintering bird surveys. Rachel has coordinated and undertaken ornithology surveys for wind farm projects in Scotland and County Durham which have involved vantage point and species specific surveys for barn owl and pink footed goose. Rachel is also a Natural England survey licence holder for white-clawed crayfish and has extensive experience in survey and mitigation for this species. She has also held a conservation licence for white-clawed crayfish and has supervised several mitigation projects for bridge works in North Yorkshire.

Rachel is experienced in project management and has coordinated species and habitat monitoring on a number of sites for different clients such as Drax Power Ltd and Saint Gobain Formula. This has involved liaising with site staff, attending consultation meetings, presenting restoration schemes to the council on behalf of developers, developing management plans and advising site staff on habitat creation and management activities.
